Mladeč Caves - surroundings

Educational trail Tresin (Třesín)

An approximately 8 km long circuit through forest paths over Třesín Hill (along the red and blue tourist marks) begins and ends in the village of Mladeč. During a pleasant two-hour walk, at nine stops you will become acquainted with both living and non-living natural elements of this part of the nature reserve, with its karst terrain with lapies, dolines and sinks, with fissure caves and chimneys, with sand pipes in the locality of Brodka, Řimice exsurgences in the Morava River valley and in addition to the Mladeč Caves you are led into the romantic cave called Podkova (Horseshoe). During landscaping in the 19th century, the Liechtensteins built several romantic constructions here – Rytířská síň (Knight’s Hall), Obelisk (Obelisk) and Chrám přátelství (Temple of Friendship) and also adapted the rock formation known as Čertův most (Devil's Bridge).

Litovel

The tallest town hall tower in the Czech or Slovak Republics is bulit over the river and is 72 metres high. Lookout from the town hall tower with view of Litovelské Pomoraví (river basin area) and town centre. Also visible are the Úsov Chateau, Šternberk, and the surrounding areas.
Litovel crafts from the first half of the 20th century are permanent exhibition of Litovel Town Museum. Special temporary exhibits are focused on the town ort he Litovel Micro Region.

Arboretum Bílá Lhota
Aesthetically valuable park, established around the year 1700, with more than 300 domestic and exotic species of trees.
Javoříčko Caves
Javoříčko Caves are situated 8 km to the south-west of Mladeč Caves.

Bouzov

Bouzov Castle is one of the most frequently visited castles in the Czech Republic. Its oldest written reference dates back to 1317. The castle’s interiors offer collections of period furniture and utility art of all stylistic periods.

Loštice
Museum of Olomouc Tvarůžky Cheese has been in the original cheese factory since 1994. Museum exhibits document porduction technology, the grinding and pressing of curd, additional production procedures, as well as the producers themselves. The museum contains a great deal of evidence od the production of tvarůžky cheese.

Olomouc
The preserved historical part the city of Olomouc and enormous quantity of architectural monuments places Olomouc among the most attractive tourist destinations in the Czech Republic. Olomouc has the second largest amount of historical monuments in the Czech Republic and features the Holy Trinity Column, a Unesco monument. The first archdiocesan museum in the Czech Republic the seat of which are the grounds of the Olomouc Castle. Since 1951, Museum of National Art and History has been located in a late Broque building belonging to the former Clariss monastery. The Botanical Gardens and Rose Garden are bordered by Bezruč Garden sund Branch of the Morava River. The zoological garden contains over 390 animal species and aprticipates in the preservation of a number of others.


Úsov
The hunting-forestry museum is a unique facility in Cental Europe. Its collection features hunting trophies, not only from our homeland, but also from Africa, Italy and Poland. The permanent exposition is complemented by seasonal exhibitions.


Šternberk
The core of the castle is medieval; at the end of the 19th century, while in the possession of the Lichtenstein family, it was partially rebuilt into the Romanesque style; valuable collections.

Náměšť na Hané
The chateau boasts splendid interiors and a unique collection of Meissen china. It also houses an attractive collection of ceremonial carriages used by the bishops and archbishops of Olomouc and a collection od baby carriage.


The Litovelské Pomoraví House of the Nature
It is unique open-air gallery in Horka nad Moravou. The buildings and installations serve as places to come into contact with nature and other people and they are open for your experience.
